ELIZABETH WEILL-GREENBERG is a New Jersey-based reporter for The Appeal, where she writes on prison and jail conditions, wrongful convictions, and the criminalization of disabilities. She has also written for The Nation, New York Focus, and TruthOut, and is the recipient, with Juan Moreno Haines, of a 2020 California Journalism Award. She previously worked as a case analyst for the Innocence Project, where her work was instrumental in several exonerations.
